This program has been designed to provide teachers with in-depth professional learning for the Stage 5 History mandatory Depth Study #3: Australians at War.
It will not cover every aspect of this depth study but provide a range of workshops that will help teachers develop interesting and unique opportunities for exploring this topic with Stage 5 students.
It is aimed at teachers in any stage of their career including those new to teaching Australians at War and those who are looking to revitalise their approach to teaching aspects of this core part of the Stage 5 History course.
Sessions will explore key content relevant to the depth study and also provide participants with a guided tour of the Anzac Memorial aimed at exploring the complex as a potential site study for Stage 5 History.
THIS EVENT IS NESA ACCREDITED:
Completing HTANSW - Australians at War Masterclass - 2023 will contribute 4 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of Delivery and Assessment of NSW Curriculum/EYLF addressing Standard Descriptors 2.1.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
