Teaching History Journal Award

The HTANSW Board and employees would like to thank everyone who submitted contributions for the four issues of Teaching History in 2022. We’re happy to announce that we have just launched an annual prize for the best teacher contribution to the journal – a $50 voucher for Booktopia.

Please join us in congratulating Dr Stephen Powell of Merici College (ACT) who has been awarded the best contribution prize for 2022, for his insightful article entitled ‘William Cooper’s Legacies’, and his accompanying teaching idea ‘Linking the Holocaust with Aboriginal Rights and Freedoms’, published in Teaching History 56, no. 1 and no. 2 (2022), respectively.

To be in the running to win the prize for 2023, why not submit a teaching idea, article, or review for the Term 2 (2023) issue of Teaching History, on the theme ‘Women in History’? Submissions relating to other History syllabus topics are always welcome too.
