NSW HISTORY COMPETITION

 

 IMPORTANT NOTE: The NSW History Competition will not run in 2012
  It has now been replaced by the Australian History Competition.


 

2011 COMPETITION RESULTS

The competition was administered in schools in Term 3 Week 7.
In 2011, 117 schools were registered, equating to 9,769 students sitting the competition. The highest mark achieved was 47 out of 50, achieved by two students.

achieving the highest mark of 47 out of 50 in 2011

  

2011 COMPETITION MERIT CATEGORY CUT-OFF MARKS:

CREDIT - 30 to 34 out of 50 (or 60-68%). This range represents the top 35% of the candidature.
DISTINCTION - 35 to 39 out of 50 (or 70-78%). This range represents the top 15% of the candidature.
HIGH DISTINCTION - 40+ out of 50 (or 80% plus). This represents the top 4% of the candidature.

Competition certificates were mailed out on 17 October 2011
